───── Injuries Guide ─────

The injury system in Nemeion adds an element of risk and realism to certain activities, giving actions more weight and consequence. Injuries can occasionally be earned through participation in events such as Colosseum battles, Conquest encounters, and Crusades, typically as a result of intense combat or dangerous situations. While not guaranteed, these injuries serve as a reminder that even victory can come at a cost, encouraging strategic play and thoughtful participation.

───── What are Injuries? ─────

Injuries in Nemeion are divided into four categories based on their severity: minor, moderate, severe, and life-threatening. Minor injuries are typically superficial and have little impact, while moderate injuries are more noticeable and may require some recovery time. Severe injuries carry significant consequences and can hinder a Nemeion’s ability to participate in certain activities, while life-threatening injuries represent the most critical state, requiring immediate attention and often resulting in major restrictions until properly resolved. Injuries must be healed at the healing thread to remove the associated penalties.

Injury Debuffs

Minor - +10% increased chance to fail all activities regardless of equipment or traits. (This does not include Events.)

Moderate - Cannot participate in Conquests, Crusades, Caving, or the Colosseum, and has a +10% increased chance to fail Expeditions, Fishing, Beast Hunting, and Foraging attempts regardless of equipment or traits.

Severe - Has a 50% chance to fail any Ranking or Training attempt, cannot participate in Conquests, Crusades, Caving, or the Colosseum, and has a +10% increased chance to fail Expeditions, Fishing, Beast Hunting, and Foraging attempts regardless of equipment or traits.

Life-Threatening - Cannot participate in any activities, has a 50% chance to fail any Ranking or Training attempt, and has a 75% chance of producing a completely dead litter when breeding.

 ───── How to Heal ─────

Healing injuries in Nemeion requires both an in-game item and a creative component from the player. To recover, players must supply an appropriate healing item and submit either an art piece or a piece of literature depicting their character receiving treatment. This system encourages immersive storytelling, allowing the recovery process to feel meaningful while reinforcing the connection between gameplay and creative expression.
