This Event ends 9/1/2025
As the golden leaves of encroaching autumn whisper through the olive groves, the women of the city gather in hushed excitement for the Harvest Festival. Cloaked in flowing garments and bearing baskets of offerings, they make their way to the sacred hillside, where Demeter’s spirit was said to linger among the wheat. It is a time of quiet reverence and ancient mystery, when the earth pauses and listens. Together, the women from the city bury small tokens deep in the soil, believing that Demeter would bless their land in return.

Prompt 1: The Unearthing Rite
On the final day of the Thesmophoria, participants gather to unearth the sacred offerings buried months before. But this year, something strange is dug up—an object not placed there by human hands. What is it? Who or what buried it? And why does the air feel colder when it’s touched? Depict your Nemeion investigating this strange object. Is it an ancient tablet, an old boot, or something completely different?
Prompt 2: Boar in the Grove
Piglets are traditionally offered to the earth, but when a full-grown, wild boar crashes through the sacred grove during the burial ritual, it seems to be protecting something hidden in the soil. Depict your Nemeion facing off against this boar. Do they chase it away, or do they investigate what the boar is hiding? What do they find?
Prompt 3: The Stolen Cornucopia
On the eve of the Harvest Festival, a divine relic—the Cornucopia of Ploutos—has vanished from its altar. Without it, the people fear famine will shadow the land. Clues point toward a band of rogue satyrs who fled into the olive groves. Depict your Nemeion tracking the satyrs down, retrieve the relic, and remind them why the gods must be honored during the feast of plenty.
Prompt 4: The Web of Fate
As the harvest moon rises, webs begin to appear across doorways and trees—not spun by spiders, but by divine silk threaded with silver and shadow. Those who brush against them experience vivid visions of fate. Are these visions prophecy, or warnings? Depict your Nemeion experiencing a vision from the three fates. What is their vision? Do they see themselves in a prosperous future?
Prompt 5: Feast of the Empty Platter
A grand banquet was laid out in the temple courtyard, but all of the food suddenly disappeared before anyone had a chance to take a bite. The hall is filled with the scent of fresh bread, honey, and wine, and yet no one can find the source. Depict your Nemeion searching for the source of the missing food. Has someone hoarded it away, do they catch someone in the act of eating it, or has something strange happened?

───── Hallowing the Harvest King ─────
In the shadowed hush of ancient Nemeia, where wildflowers tangled with the roots of gnarled trees and the wind played secret songs through mountain passes, there wandered a strange and untamed god—Pan. Half-nemeion, half-goat, with curling horns and mischief in his golden eyes. He dances through glades, his laughter echoing like birdcalls through the forest. The shepherds both feared and adored him, for he could bring fertile flocks or sudden fright with a single haunting note from his reed pipes. He was not a god of marble temples and solemn hymns, but of mossy stones, startled deer, and the tremble of twilight between day and dream. Wherever nature grew wild and hearts beat fast with freedom or fear, Pan was already there—watching, grinning, vanishing like a breath in the trees.
