───── Freakish Fangs ─────
While some argue that Freakish Fangs is not a Curse but a deformity of the teeth, others whisper that it descends from the god, Hades. Hades, himself, has never come out and claimed the terrible honor, however, so it remains purely mortal rumor where the strange affliction originates. Freakish Fangs is a Curse that affects the tusks and teeth of the Nemeion it is inflicted upon, causing them to twist into unnatural shapes, grow into uneven lengths, or even cluster into rows much like that of a shark’s.
This curse can lurk beneath the notice of mortals, as some Nemeion merely have one tusk that is longer than another; a simple deformity that can be waved off as odd. For other Nemeion, it can create fear and discomfort to themselves and those around them as their teeth may grow into elephant-like tusks or otherwise twisted shapes protruding from their mouths.
Regardless of how it presents itself, once the curse has been identified, it is seen as a bad omen. A cub bearing Freakish Fangs is seen as though the god of the underworld himself has bared his gnarled fangs at you, twisting your Nemeion in an act of displeasure. While they are not shunned or chased away from towns often, Nemeion with this curse may find it more difficult living amongst the people than their regular-tusked counterparts.
Cults of Hades and Medusa at times worship Nemeion that are born or afflicted with these unusual teeth. Serpent-like fangs are revered and seen as blessings to some Medusa followers, while other growth patterns are equally as revered by those who worship the great Hades. These people treat the deformity as a sign that the god has chosen that Nemeion to serve them, and those within the cults that carry the curse often become highly revered Hiereiai.

───── Freakish Fangs vs Facade ────
“Does this mean I can't break my Nemeions tusks or add decor to them without Freakish Fangs?” No! Nemeion are still allowed to have edited tusks without Freakish Fangs. Wear and tear from use that causes tusks to erode or break, carvings, metal caps and other decor is still allowed with the application of a Facade of the Caesar. But tusks themselves can not have their overall shape edited to change the curve, size, etc without the use of Freakish Fangs.
